In 1946 the Estimé government organized bicentenary of the city of Port-au-Prince; inspired by the event Frank Cardozo built Hotel Beau-Site. Hotel Montana celebrated its sixtieth anniversary in 2006. Back then, the establishment offered 12 rooms in a warm family atmosphere that made its current reputation.

Managed by Edna and Frank Cardozo, the Beau-Site became Hotel Montana. Today with its 145 rooms, Hotel Montana still offers patrons that “home away from home” feeling so dear to its founders.
